Liz Sciacca-Witt

Licensee /Principal at Key2 Conveyancing

I am a mother of two – Jesse and Eliza; and my very supportive husband Tony Witt, is a hard working fourth generation butcher.

My career in conveyancing started in 1989. At the time I was working as an assistant with the property management team at Bankers Trust in Sydney and I felt the need to return to my home town of Forster-Tuncurry.

I was offered a position as legal secretary with Stacks/Forster where I then proceeded to work for nine years as an assistant to Bill Akhurst Property Law Specialist and Senior Partner. Those nine years provided me with a solid base of training in conveyancing and property law.

In 1998 I took on the position of conveyancer with East Coast Conveyancing and then proceeded to study The Conveyancing Law & Practice course via distance Education at Macquarie University – which was a pre-requisite to obtaining my licence. A highlight of my career was achieveing academic first place in my university course, which I attribute to many hours of study and the legal knowledge and practical experience I had attained in my position as legal secretary/assistant.

I then completed a Certificate IV in Workplace Training and took on the dual role of licenced conveyancer/trainer at East Coast Conveyancing where I enjoyed the role of training all new employees, sharing with them my knowledge and experience in the practical and legal aspects of conveyancing and being an integral part of their growth and development in the industry.

In 2009 my working partner Judy Klause and I decided that it was time to take on the challenge of owning our own conveyancing practice. We purchased the Forster branch of East Coast Conveyancing, changed the name and never looked back.

We love the challenges that come with owning a business; we love working together as a team; and we love the fulfilment achieved from client satisfaction.

Property Law is an ever changing and evolving area of law. Each year we keep up-to-date with current legislation by attending seminars and obtaining our required education points to sustain our licence.

Personally, in my spare time I love to spend time with my family and I have a passion for running – that's when I do my problem solving, brain storming and clearing of the mind.

I have recently joined as a member of the Chamber of Commerce Forster-Tuncurry and enjoy interacting with other local business owners.
